I'm surrounded by wonderfully weird people quite often, so it would be a crime not to document at least a portion of the overheard conversations throughout the week. As a creative side project I started an Instagram account @outofcontextconvos to share the conversations with the world. #OutOfContextConvos

The project "Nine Happy Lives" was an illustration designed for print that I had created for a cat themed gallery show at "BUCKBUCK Gallery" in Cleveland, OH. It spotlights a brightly colored feline with each corner supporting an aspect of what would make a household cat happy on a daily basis.

Created as a personal promotional project for the U.S. television show "Wilfred" on the FX Network (Later FXX). My goal was to mimic a large format screenprinted poster while sticking to a strict 6-color palette and very flat illustration style. The layout was meant to capture some of the odd humor and iconography from the show through imagery inspired by minimal/vintaged graphics.

This hardcover book/poster project was made to express the complications of growing up with a false tooth as part of my Senior Design thesis project at Ohio University. Using typography and texture, I told the story of my struggles growing up with constant dental problems and expressed the bitterness I felt throughout the experience. The project consisted of a 22" x 32" poster and a hardcover book with 10 individual spreads.
Created as a short mock packaging exploration, shown here is the "B Honey" company logo, along with it's proposed retail packaging. The final product was a printed sleeve/box with 18 individual honey containers inside. "B Honey" was intended to be a simple and approachable retail product with a child-like appeal.
This piece was an exploration of bookbinding with a skateboarding theme. The cover is made from skateboard grip tape and the binding is skateboard truck hardware. The edge is sealed with a shoelace to fit the skateboard theme, and the inside cover is wood grain color mimicking the appearance of a blank skateboard deck. The inside content is filled with cropped sections of skateboard magazines that I've collected throughout the years to see my influences for art through the skateboarding culture in the media today.
